Gmail now includes loading bar

Every morning, the first thing I do is to check my email when I go online. I do not leave my PC on for the night as I want to save energy. Today, when logging into Gmail, I saw a little difference on the screen than before. Google had added a little loading bar on top to show that your loading status. If you see it stucks in the middle, you can quickly switch to basic HTML view just with a click on the bottom. This is good for people who is on a slow Internet connection too.
I don’t know it’s me or Google, it seems like the loading speed is faster right now. The Gmail team talked about it in the blog. Good move.

I don’t like the loading bar. It takes longer to get into your email. Before that ‘improvement’ I clicked sign-in and was instantly in my email, now there is way too much time lapse. I’d rather not see the page loading.

It takes longer to get into my email page now that the loading bar is there. Maybe there can be an option in settings so some of us users can turn the loading bar off.

Oh I see. Maybe your minds tend to think it is “loading” when there’s is a loading bar.
Brady:
Well, personally I think it loads faster to me, because Gmail has always been slow to me. With the loading bar, I can see how fast it is. I think Gmail should remove everything instead, no loading bar or words. =)
