Yahoo Domains is blood sucker
By Nicholas Chan on Nov 17, 2008 in Internet

I have a domain registered via Yahoo Domain last year. It’s www.yikyeou.com. I bought it for fun when I received an email about buying a domain at only $1.99, it’s cheap, so I went for it for fun. Without utilizing it, I just redirect it to my blog.
Today, I received an email from Yahoo regarding the renewal of this domain that is going to expire soon. I was shocked to see that the renewal price is $34.95. If I didn’t bother about it, it will deduct automatically from my credit card.

I don’t understand how it works and why is it so expensive. I thought renewal will be the same price as the domain selling price at $9.95. Though it’s not. I signed in and canceled my domain, since I am not using it. If I really need the domain, I’ll just transfer to other cheaper domain registrar etc. Namecheap, Godaddy.
Yahoo Domain sucks.
