Alternatives To Siri For Android – Siri, Siri, oh Siri, you are the app on Apple iPhone that makes Android user envy, jealous and crave about it. However, in Android, everything is open and many developers have developed their own version of “Siri for Android”. Not perfect, but can have a taste of having a personal assistant like Siri on Android.
By the way, Google reported that they are working on their own version of Siri For Android codename Majel.
Here’s a few apps that you can download from the Android Market that has the similar function as Siri, not as good as Siri, but they can answer and talk back to you too.
Iris 2.0 – If you spell it reversely, it’s Siri. Iris can be naughty sometimes and response to most of your question.
Speaktoit Assistant – My personal favourite as it can read your schedule, tell you the weather, call people, set you alarm and more. I dislike the avatar on the screen though.
Andy – It’s more like a talking encyclopedia, and you can ask weather, time, as well as algebra questions.
Skyvi – You can get directions, define words, ask weather and time, chat with Skyvi, access Facebook and Twitter. This is so far the most clever voice assistant on Android.
Speerit – Not available in English but soon. The Korean Siri-like app is the app that’s looks most alike the Apple iPhone’s Siri. Really hope that it will release English version soon.
