How To Set Keyboard Shortcut For Language Input On Mac OSX – When using Windows, switching language input is just pressing ALT + SHIFT. It’s so easy. After moving to Mac OSX, I couldn’t find the default method to change language input via keyboard shortcut. Last time I had to click on the flag symbol (language input) on the menu bar to change language.

Here’s a guide that you can set up a keyboard shortcut to change language easily.
- Go to System Preferences.
- Keyboard.
- Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Keyboard & Text Input.
- Scroll down and find “Select the previous input source, Select next source in Input menu”
- Double click and setup this new shortcut – Control + Command + (Arrow Up/Down)
I am using this keyboard shortcut to change language from English to Chinese.
