Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 – Kinda Unexpected – Samsung Mobile has been strong, with the release of powerful device like the Galaxy Tab, Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note but unexpectedly, they has just announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. The big question mark on my mind is, “What the hell wrong with you Samsung?”
There’s already so many Galaxy Tab out there in the market e.g. Galaxy Tab 7 Plus, Galaxy Tab 7.7, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Galaxy Tab 10.1. Is it neccessary to bring in the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 which is 95 percent identical to the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus in term of features and design?
The specs:
- 7″ WSVGA TFT display, with 1024 x 600 resolution
- 1 GHz dual-core processor
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Touchwiz
- 3 megapixel fixed-focus rear camera
- VGA front facing camera
- 1 GB RAM
- HSPA+ support (up to 21 mbps on 850/900/1900/2100 bands)
- 8, 16, or 32GB storage configurations
- 4,000 mAh Li-ion battery
- Voice call capability
Why? Why another tablet when all of the current tablet is upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0. It makes people so confusing. Comparing to the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus, the difference is the processor (7 Plus at 1.2 GHz) & the front face camera (7 Plus at 2-megapixel).
The price is expected to price at US$350, a little bit cheaper than the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus. I don’t think it will be a good buy when the 7 Plus is better, or 7.7 is so much better. Moreover Apple iPad 3 is coming soon. What do you think?
