Apple is rocking you on “Let’s Rock” event with new iPod

It is expected that Apple will have an event in September and it is official now. The event is call “Let’s Rock” and will be focus on Apple’s music related product etc iPod and iTunes. Held on 9th September and it’s time to set my schedule to watch the live keynote delivered by Mr Steve Job in midnight, Malaysia Time.
Hopefully new iPod lines will be announced, rumors about that spectaculating the net is there will be a new iPod nano and cheaper iPod touch in conjunction with the price drop of iPhone recently. New iTunes program might be announced too.
Let’s wait and see.
Apple announces iPhone 3G
The prediction that everyone made a few weeks back was pretty true as Apple just announced the new iPhone yesterday. For your information, 3G is not the biggest changes from the iPhone as the main attraction of the new iPhone is the freaking low price at 199$/299$/399$ for 8GB, 16GB and 32GB respectively.
3G is just an upgrade on the data transfer, sadly there’s no a front face camera for making video call. If you get an iPhone 3G, you probably must get an unlimited data plan for you because that is what a 3G iPhone for, web surfing on the go, push email etc etc.
Unfortunately, there’s still isn’t any good mobile data plan here in Malaysia yet. Celcom is the most recommended one at the moment but I am not a Celcom user. I uses Maxis and Digi. People are complaining about the connection keep dropping on Maxis 3G Broadband while DiGi still do not offers any high speed data plan yet. As I’ll just have to wait for DiGi to announced 3G connection and U Mobile (new telco in Malaysia) to come to Penang.
Too, it’s now added with A-GPS which allow you to track yourself on the built in Google Maps.
Likes:
- 3G High Speed Data Transfer
- Cheaper Price
- Built in A-GPS
- iPhone 2.0 Firmware
- New cool Apps
- Foreign language input
Dislikes:
- Not announced in Malaysia yet. Has to get from Singapore and maybe with Singtel contract.
- No MMS
- No video recording
- No face front camera for video call
- Low quality camera
- In-store activation. Activate right away in-store.
Well, according to Steve during the Keynote, you can’t buy iPhone online in the states nor activate it yourself. All the activation is done in-store right away meaning that you will now have to sign up for the contract right away in Apple store, though those people out there sure got a way to avoid signing up for the contract when buying the iPhone right.
In Asia, it’s only Hong Kong and Japan that will get their first hand on the iPhone on July 11th while Singapore and other Asia Pacific country will be later this year. Sadly, there’s no Malaysia in the list. Oh my god!
Since it’s so cheap, it pretty worth to get one for yourself. As for me, I think I’ll be getting one as my secondary phone, I already have a phone that can do video call, getting this for my mobile entertainment and as a always connected device is good.

iPhone 3G is Confirmed coming to you
Breaking news from Gizmodo. Gizmodo is told that Apple will announce their new generation of iPhone with 3G at WWDC Keynote on June 9th. The new iPhone will be available worldwide right after launch and not wait for many months.
In Spain, for example, the 3G iPhone will be available for sale at the June 18th grand opening of Telefonica’s megastore—an Apple Store-like shop located in the company’s historical building in Madrid’s Gran Vía— with nationwide availability right the next day or after a few hours. The other European countries with iPhone availability will have similar launch schedules.
Then I’ll believe that the iPhone that coming to Singapore will be 3G too. There’s still 19 days until WWDC and let’s put our hand together and wait to see the 3G iPhone.

There maybe shortage on Wii Fit during launch in US
Wii Fit is getting hot everywhere, not only in the Japan but too in the states. The Wii Fit was told to be launch on May 19 in the states but wait, not everywhere in the states but only at the Nintendo World Store in New York City. Nintendo knows how to make their statement.
At the launch event in New York, the game which includes a $90 balance board sold out within an hour in the morning. Gamestop’s online store has a temporarily-out-of-stock warning, and Amazon halted online preorders as early as May 6, with 2.5 units sold every minute.
So stop staying at home and pressing F5, get your ass out and start being in the line where everyone is. For your information, Wii Fit has already sold 1 million units in Japan after a month it’s release. Another place to look for it is on eBay but beware, sellers are frying the price high.

This 2 colors are very attractive and eye-catching though it’s definitely not my type. Well, accoding to sources, it’s only release on the retail site and have not been announced by Nintendo, we will wait to see if it’s real when we get closer to June 13 as it’s supposed released date for the new colors.
