Facebook Chat On Windows With Messenger for Windows – Are you a frequent user of the Facebook Chat? Now you don’t have to turn on your browser, go to Facebook.com to chat with you friend. You can download the Facebook’s Messenger for Windows, which is a standalone app that you can install on your Windows system and chat with your friends.

The Messenger for Windows includes the chat system, notification system and friend request, it’s just like Facebook ported into an application. UI doesn’t change a bit from the Facebook, so nothing to fancy much about it. It also has pop-up notification to show your Facebook activity like who like or post on your wall, status, photos and more.

One more thing, I find the UI quite boring, despite having a standalone app, it should somehow has a different standalone design.

I Am Using Mac OS X Lion – Apple released the latest update for the operating system of the Macintosh, the Mac OS X Lion few days ago. I didn’t download and buy on the first day but I downloaded it on the 2nd day. The price of the upgrade is US$29.90 which I think is pretty reasonable and it’s just available online as Apple is promoting a green environment.

The sad thing was it took me about 10 hours to finish downloading the file as you know, living in Malaysia, I have an Internet download speed of 150-200kbps which is slow when compare to other country.

Mission Control interface.

I think it’s a good upgrade as the new system always bring new features. I was from Leopard to Snow Leopard and now I am on Lion. They main feature of the Lion is the gesture that you can use with the multi-touch trackpad and also the Mission Control interface which shows all your app.

They also make it more user friendly and iOS like with the application Launchpad. These are some of the feature that I am proudly showing off, more to play and more to try. If you are on Snow Leopard, it’s time to upgrade to Lion and you will not regret on spending US$29.90.

The best part of all, it allow you to install up to 5 Macs with just a single purchase. I shared this copy with my brother. =)

I am a frequent Foursquare user as I think that checking-in places is pretty cool and fun and just recently Foursquare redesigned the whole app of Foursquare for Windows Phone 7 and the UI looks pretty amazing and cool. I don’t have a Windows Phone, but I am thrill with the new design and layout.

If you are a Windows Phone 7 user, you should check it out. The panorama style is very easy to navigate across the screen. You can grab the app from Windows Phone Marketplace.

With the announcement of iOS5 at the recent WWDC 2011, iDevices now have their own “BBM” which is the iMessage, a copied off the famous BlackBerry Messenger and WhatsApp. Like BBM, it’s exclusively available on BlackBerry and so iMessage too!

Well, there’s no reason to get a BlackBerry just for BBM because Apple now has their own iM(essage)! I guess it’s time to change from BB to iPhone people. What do you think?

The current latest Android version is the Gingerbread 2.3 which is only on the latest Google Nexus S only and more device update are coming and now the developers behind Android had released a sneak peek video on the upcoming Android 3.0 codename Honeycomb OS. In the video you will see the UI and new features. GTalk is supporting video call and different Gmail and YouTube interface.

Though, the Honeycomb OS UI is specially made for tablet and there will be a version for the mobile phone too. Well, let’s wait for the Gingerbread 2.3 OTA (Over The Air) Update first on major mobile phones while waiting for the official announcement of Honeycomb 3.0.

I am always a fan of TweetDeck with columns and multi-accounts support. Check out the latest Chrome TweetDeck which is an application for Google Chrome browser, simply meaning a TweetDeck runs in a Google Chrome browser. So this eliminates the need of installing TweetDesk for Desktop and Google Chrome browser at the same time. You can surf while tweeting.

Initial impression is that the UI is pretty simple and kinda nice, looks like TweetDeck for Android but somehow the refresh rate is a little bit slower. I somehow still like TweetDeck for Desktop. It added into the Apps bookmark on the latest Google Chrome homepage so it’s launch within the browser. I still haven’t figure out how to one-click shortcut to launch Chrome TweetDeck.

So far, the apps are not as complete as on the Market, but with over 2000 apps to choose from, it’s better than nothing already.

It’s Apple WWDC10 right now, happening at San Fransisco, lots of Apple update for the fans out there. I woke up today morning and prompted a system update on my Mac. After the update, I found out that my Safari has upgraded to latest version 5.

Apple is so much supporting the HTML5 platform right now and it’s one of the new feature in Safari 5. Another feature that worth to check it out is the Safari Reader, it allows you to read online articles in a continuous, clutter-free view.

My 2 cents: Frankly, I seldom use Safari browser on my Mac. I only use Safari on the iPhone, I still prefer other browser like the Firefox because there’s more add-on which enhance my surfing experience. Do you use Safari?
