I am a just a normal blogger (not like those Internet marketing gurus) and have been blogging on the Internet since 2005 when I was 13. Later then, I found out that I can actually make a small income from the Internet. At first, I only get paycheck once in a few months, or perhaps a year, but sooner, with a little bit more efforts and hardwork, and also time, I manage to get myself a steady income from the Internet, through blogging and also affiliate marketing.
Basically, my income from the Internet is mainly differentiate into two main categories: advertising, affiliate product marketing & promoting.
Some friends always ask me, how do I earn money through blogging? How it’s actually works?
It’s actually very simple, the more quality your content is, the more visitors visit your blog, the more clicks and views on the advertising service (e.g. Google Adsense), the more money you will get. Simple as that. So the tips are, blog more, write more, share more and attract more visitors and trust me, your visitors will click on the money generating advertisement that you place on your blog. It’s just like you will watch through the commercial break on the TV.
How about affiliate marketing?
Actually affiliate marketing is actually, to be simple, being a salesman! Haha. Sometimes, people hate salesman because of the hard sale method, but on the other hand, every successful sale brings a lot of money to him! So affiliate marketing is promoting Internet service and product like E-book, web hosting & membership. Just by introducing people to join a service and then you will get commission from that. It’s not easy, but you still can do it. A little but like direct sales, but no physical product include in it.
Well, I have included a list of advertising services for your blog and affiliates marketing product that you can earn money with them (Disclaimer: Some are affiliates link. =))
Advertising service for blogging:
1. Google Adsense (International, earn in US$)
The most popular advertising platform on the Internet and is used by most of the websites. It generates most of my online income, some might complain it earns to slow, but time will change your mind. Earning in US$ is awesome. You can cash out via Western Union service.
2. Nuffnang (Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Philippines, Hong Kong, China)
Another popular advertising service targeted to blogger. Most of the Malaysian bloggers have this on their blog. Besides earning, you can win movie passes, goodies bag, and more.
3. Advertlets (Malaysia)
A rival to Nuffnang, for those who are not making money well with Nuffnang, try this, some have reported using this and earn a lot. Advertlets has a strong community in Klang Valley, and gets lots of special event passes.
4. ChurpChurp (Malaysia, Singapore) – Earn money through Twiter and Facebook.
A very easy way to earn money through your social media account like Twitter and Facebook. The more followers & friends, the more money you get to earn. It’s a fun way of earning money on the Internet and have been doing well to me. All you have to do is just share advertising post on your social media platform and you earn through clicks.
5. GushCloud (Malaysia, Singapore)
Pretty new service like ChurpChurp but more. Earn money by completing task e.g. Like a Facebook Page, post a Twitter message, write a blog post, or share content on Facebook. This one is fun and easy as money gets credited fast. Check it out.
6. LinkWorth (International, pay via PayPal)
An online advertising service that provides various advertising service e.g. selling text-link, sponsored blog posts, in-text links and more. This is one my steady income source.
7. Infolinks (In-text link)
Best in-text advertising at the moment but still earning less than Google Adsense. This is good for people who writes a lot in blog as it turns part of your text into money generating link.
8. Bidvertiser (Extra earn money source)
Similar to Adsense, an additional advertising service to use with Google Adsense.
9. Adbrite (Adsense alternative)
Banned Adsense users love Adbrite or if you are greedy and want to earn more, you can join Adbirte. But so far, people turned to Adbrite is because their Adsense got banned. So far, the review is not bad.
10. Text Link Ads (Sell text links & earn through referral)
Selling text links is putting links on your blog which link to the advertiser’s site, and in return you get money. Text Link Ads is a famous website on the net that help you sell text links. If you are not earning money through selling text links, you can join their Affiliates and earn by referring to other people. This one is fun!
11. Blogsvertise (Still getting paid by them to write post)
One of the successful paid post company on the Internet. Many sponsored post company has went down because of the competition and I still get paid by them to write sponsored post.
12. PayPerPost (Another sponsored post)
I used to get good pay from PayPerPost sponsored post program, but now it’s kinda slow down already. Give it a try, who knows?
13. Chitika (Strong alternative for Adsense)
Almost forgotten about Chitika, it’s a very strong alternative to Adsense, if you have high traffic to your blog, this is one that must not be missed. It’s almost as good as Adsense.
Affiliates marketing (earn more money by referring):
1. Friend Finder ($2 per sign up)
I think this is the most interesting affiliates service and it pays your $2 per member sign up! It’s actually kinda safe, no porno and no worry.
2. Text Link Ads Referral Service
When you failed to sell text link, you can refer people to sign up.
3. LivingSocial (Malaysia)
Promote group purchase coupon of LivingSocial and earn voucher.
4. ChurpChurp (Malaysia)
Earn RM1 when refer one friend to sign up. RM1/sign up.
5. MilkADeal (Malaysia)
Earn RM10 credits when a person by through your referral link.
6. MyDeal (Malaysia)
Earn 10% commission per deal.
5. Amazon Associates
Placed product link on your blog and you will get commission through every purchase.
