Ever jealous of some great toy camera, tilt shift, lomography camera applications on the iPhone? Yes, I do and very do. I hate why Android doesn’t have such cool camera app. Though, no dissapointment, there’s still one free camera application for Android which give you lomography effect and more like polaroid framing, fisheye and more!

Best part of all, it’s free and many choices of effect. Easy to use too. Just install it and pick your effect, then point and shoot.

I only use the Toy Camera effect but one thing that I don’t like is that, the effect still not very close to a real lomography and somehow I feel the app on iPhone is better than this. Anyway, better than nothing, download this and install on your Android now, it’s a must have!

Here’s another Chinese gadget that my dad bought from Shenzhen recently. This is actually a clip-able pinhole video camera which what the Chinese called it the MP9 or Chewing Gum. According to the seller, this is use for people to record talking during meetings or lectures. However, to me, it’s more like a spy cam.

The camera is hidden in the tiny little whole at the back. With a push of a button, it will start recording the video and save in AVI format. It’s not easy to use though, pretty hard to understand the LED which either mean Pause, Standy or Recording. But after going through the manual for several times, I know how it works already.

I’ll say this is just a toy, it’s not something useful. The bad part of this thing is bad sound recording quality and the AVI recorded video cannot be edited in Windows Movie Maker. It’s selling like around 150RMB with 2GB built in memory and expandable with microSD card.

The video about the new Samsung OmniaHD phone is cool. The Samsung Omnia HD featured a few great featured like the huge 3.7″ AMOLED screen, HD video recording and 8 megapixels camera.

If the OS and software is fast, then it’s a good phone. I just can’t stand with slow phone like my Nokia N95 has software lags. Another thing is the price, I assume it would be expensive when it releases in the market and you are recommended to have a unlimited data plan for your mobile because mobile Internet is getting more and more popular nowadays.

I don’t have a real scanner but my 10megapixels Canon 400D always acts as my portable scanner. Just like last week, I was outside the school gate while waiting my transport to get me home, my friend got a set of Biology notes on his hands. I can’t borrow it for photocopying because he needed it on the weekends and here I got my camera in my bag. I asked him to hold the notes in the air and I snap every pages of it.

I was able to read through everything with a little bit of scrolling and zooming on my monitor screen. It’s good to have such a big screen when it comes to reading. =) The only problem is I can’t print the notes out, so it’s only available in the softcopy format.

One thing you should remember while snapping your notes with the camera, remember to focus and turn on flash (if possible).
