Facebook Buys Instagram, What Do You Think? – News just reported about Facebook buying the social mobile photography app – Instagram for freaking 1 billion US$! That’s a big sum of money. For a company which has less than 10 people, and producing an app that has more than 15 million users around the world and with no profit (at the moment), that’s really a surprise that Facebook would pay US$1b for it.

Well, I think Instagram itself can be better without the acquisition, but then US$1b is a big money. Soon, you will see more Instagram photos on Facebook, Facebook for sure will tweak the very special app to be usable on all device, and desktop, Instagram will be another photo-editing app instead of a social network (that’s not cool).

It’s a nice way to learn and read more about Steve Jobs, unfortunately, the profile has been taken down after a while of online at Facebook. The value of voucher depends on the number of invite I’ve sent. So, I want to share with you guys that it’s actually a scam and don’t waste your time on it. DiGi Interactive Ghost Video Is Cool And Scary – DiGi just made a very cool and scary interactive video to promote their current DiGi Gila Internet Sale. The Youtube video is interactive where you need to click on the next task for the subject to do.

In this video, you will follow the story of J.P. who was surfing the net at late night, then he encounter a ghost in his house. As the story goes on, he take out his Samsung Galaxy S2 to shoot video or upload video about the ghost and which you can choose which task he should do and each leads to a different ending.

Very fun, very funny and also a little bit scary. I think it’s super cool!

Facebook Chat On Windows With Messenger for Windows – Are you a frequent user of the Facebook Chat? Now you don’t have to turn on your browser, go to Facebook.com to chat with you friend. You can download the Facebook’s Messenger for Windows, which is a standalone app that you can install on your Windows system and chat with your friends.

The Messenger for Windows includes the chat system, notification system and friend request, it’s just like Facebook ported into an application. UI doesn’t change a bit from the Facebook, so nothing to fancy much about it. It also has pop-up notification to show your Facebook activity like who like or post on your wall, status, photos and more.

One more thing, I find the UI quite boring, despite having a standalone app, it should somehow has a different standalone design.

Facebook Messenger For iPhone And Android - Facebook is the most famous social networking site in the world. The Chat service in Facebook is one of the most used feature in this social networking site. To compete with some other reputable messaging app like WhatsApp, BBM and soon to release iMessage (on Apple iOS 5), Facebook released a dedicated app for chat – Facebook Messenger.

The app is a standalone app which only features the chat function and works on the iPhone and also the Android system. You can share photos, location and group chat we other Facebook user no matter he is using his mobile Messenger app or the Facebook website. So you can chat on the mobile with the user on the computer. It also has Push Notification which means new message will alert you right away.

How To: Install Facebook For iPad App. Few weeks ago, I talked about the leaked and backdoor to get the Facebook for iPad application. It was blocked by Facebook in less then a day and I couldn’t login to the Facebook for iPad app anymore. However, I have found a solution on how to access it and have been using it for a few days already.

Some have ask me where to download the Facebook For iPad app but then you don’t really need to download it as you already have it if you have the latest version of Facebook for iPhone on your iPad. You just need to do some tweak to change your Facebook to the iPad version.

One thing you must have is a JAILBROKEN iPad. Follow the instruction below to get your Facebook for iPad app. (Thanks to TNW).

1. Check for updates to make sure you have the latest version of Facebook from the App Store. Also, backup your iPad in iTunes.
2. Visit jailbreakme.com from your iPad. Jailbreaking your iPad is legal, but voids your warranty if you bring your iPad into an Apple Store. It’s easy to undo if need be. Just pug your iPad into your computer and restore it from your previous backup. (If you are running iOS 4.3.3, this will NOT work.)
3. Once the jailbreak process is complete, tap on Cydia, that was just installed on your iPad.
4. Tap the Search tab in Cydia and search for iFile. Download it using the button in the upper right hand corner.
5. Once iFile installs, open it up, and navigate to the “var” folder of your iPad. Then go to “mobile,” then “applications,” then “directory.”
6. Click the settings gear icon in the bottom navigation bar and turn “Application Names” to “On.”
7. Open the Facebook folder within the “directory” folder you’re inside of. Once you’re inside the Facebook folder, open Facebook.app.
8. Look for the info.plist file, then open it. Pick “Property List Viewver” to view the hexadecimal settings for the Facebook app.
9. Look for the UIDeviceFamily field and select it.
10. Delete the 1 you see, and put a 2 in instead. Tap “Done” to complete the process.
11. Hold down your power button to reboot your iPad.
12. Then go to Cydia again and seach for Faceforward.
13. Download and install it.
14. Launch your new Facebook app and you are now in.

It’s a little bit buggy, Page is not working as it crashes but overall it looks good. But if were to compare to MyPad, MyPad seems better than this. Tell me what do you think after trying it.

Facebook For iPad Is Coming Really Soon – iPad has been in the market for more than 1.5 years and number one social networking site Facebook still haven’t release an official app for the iPad support. iPad user have been using alternative like the enlarge version of Facebook for iPhone, Friendly, MyPad for Facebook and more.
