Facebook Messenger For iPhone And Android - Facebook is the most famous social networking site in the world. The Chat service in Facebook is one of the most used feature in this social networking site. To compete with some other reputable messaging app like WhatsApp, BBM and soon to release iMessage (on Apple iOS 5), Facebook released a dedicated app for chat – Facebook Messenger.

The app is a standalone app which only features the chat function and works on the iPhone and also the Android system. You can share photos, location and group chat we other Facebook user no matter he is using his mobile Messenger app or the Facebook website. How To: Install Facebook For iPad App. Few weeks ago, I talked about the leaked and backdoor to get the Facebook for iPad application. It was blocked by Facebook in less then a day and I couldn’t login to the Facebook for iPad app anymore. However, I have found a solution on how to access it and have been using it for a few days already.

Some have ask me where to download the Facebook For iPad app but then you don’t really need to download it as you already have it if you have the latest version of Facebook for iPhone on your iPad. You just need to do some tweak to change your Facebook to the iPad version.

One thing you must have is a JAILBROKEN iPad. Follow the instruction below to get your Facebook for iPad app. (Thanks to TNW).

1. Check for updates to make sure you have the latest version of Facebook from the App Store. Also, backup your iPad in iTunes.
2. Visit jailbreakme.com from your iPad. Jailbreaking your iPad is legal, but voids your warranty if you bring your iPad into an Apple Store. It’s easy to undo if need be. Just pug your iPad into your computer and restore it from your previous backup. (If you are running iOS 4.3.3, this will NOT work.)
3. Once the jailbreak process is complete, tap on Cydia, that was just installed on your iPad.
4. Tap the Search tab in Cydia and search for iFile. Download it using the button in the upper right hand corner.
5. Once iFile installs, open it up, and navigate to the “var” folder of your iPad. Then go to “mobile,” then “applications,” then “directory.”
6. Click the settings gear icon in the bottom navigation bar and turn “Application Names” to “On.”
7. Open the Facebook folder within the “directory” folder you’re inside of. Once you’re inside the Facebook folder, open Facebook.app.
8. Look for the info.plist file, then open it. Pick “Property List Viewver” to view the hexadecimal settings for the Facebook app.
9. Look for the UIDeviceFamily field and select it.
10. Delete the 1 you see, and put a 2 in instead. Tap “Done” to complete the process.
11. Hold down your power button to reboot your iPad.
12. Then go to Cydia again and seach for Faceforward.
13. Download and install it.
14. Launch your new Facebook app and you are now in.

It’s a little bit buggy, Page is not working as it crashes but overall it looks good. But if were to compare to MyPad, MyPad seems better than this. Tell me what do you think after trying it.

Facebook For iPad Is Coming Really Soon – iPad has been in the market for more than 1.5 years and number one social networking site Facebook still haven’t release an official app for the iPad support. iPad user have been using alternative like the enlarge version of Facebook for iPhone, Friendly, MyPad for Facebook and more.

Just recently, someone found a backdoor to check out the Facebook for iPad app through the Facebook for iPhone app installed on the iPad. Just a little bit tweak and you can check out the new Facebook for iPad app, featuring a full screen and feature pack.

Of course, your iPad need to be jailbroken to try out. I tried but unfortunately I couldn’t get in because Facebook has already block the access to the app and I don’t get to try it. Really bad luck of me, but this also means that the ETA of the app for iPad is coming really very soon. So, it’s just around the corner and get your iPad ready for the app. Facebook for iPad is coming really soon.

Google+ (Google Plus), the new Facebook Rival – Google recently launched a new social network site called the Google+ and have been creating a buzz in the social networking service network.

The Internet search giant launched the new Google Plus project which is said to be a rival to social front king, Facebook have been receiving quite some good reviews from BETA user.

Previously, Google had run before the Google Wave and Google Buzz which were not really a success, but now with the new Google Plus, the company is aiming to be ahead of Facebook. At the moment, it’s still in invitation based and no news about date of opening to the public yet.

The Google+ Project features 3 main function which is:

Circles – Which is like the Facebook group that you share your lifelog, updates and media with your close circle.

Sparks – It’s like recommendation of latest trending topic.

Hangouts – Online video chat with a group of friends.

I still haven’t get an invite at the moment and still waiting for the invite from Google as I have submitted my name at the “Keep Me Posted” site. Right now, there’s not really a way on how to get in, Google recently launched invitation service but shut off due to high demand of invitation.

With all the simple function and cool feature of Google+ (Google Plus), it can be a new Facebook rival, but who will win the social networking war? We can’t put a word on it now as both provides different and unique feature. Let’s wait and see when Google+ is open to the public.

The app allows you to do some simple Facebook stuff like updating your status, adding friends, sending messages, browsing and uploading photos and more. Unfortunately there’s no Chat feature like on the iPhone.

Feeling a little bit disappointed because they online release app for the E71 and E72 but not the others Nokia S60 v3 phone like N95 (I use a N95 8GB). Some people tried to install it on a E75 and it works, so you might wanna give it a try too.
