Sony Tablet S (16GB WiFi) – RM1,499 Sony Tablet S (32GB WiFi) – RM1,799 The tablet features a 9.4″ screen, runs on dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, 1GB RAM and weighs 598g. The thickness is different at two point of the tablet, the thinnest point at 10.1mm and the thickest point is 20.6mm which is rather thick. It’s running on Android Honeycomb 3.2 and ICS Android 4.0 update will be coming in soon. The back shooter is a 5-megapixel camera and front faced camera is a 0.3-megapixel camera. With the pre-order of the tablet, you will get an exclusive ST Slip Case that is worth RM139. Head over to Sony’s website for more information. My 2 cents: This tablet is quite pretty in term of design as well as the specs, however what I don’t like is the thick design.
The phone will be available worldwide including Malaysia in first quarter of 2012, unfortunately the Xperia S will only run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. However, Ice Cream Sandwich update is confirmed to arrive in the phone within the second quarter of 2012.

Well, the design and the specs of the phone so far are not disappointing and very attractive. One thing is that it should runs on Quad-Core processor instead. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to the phone, the sleek squarish design and the camera are just so tempting.

If your PS3 doesn’t connect to a amplifier via S/PDIF digital cable, you may not hear DTS surround sound, so you have to CHECK “Always Transcode DTS”.

On the other hand, if you want to transfer your file via a flash drive or portable HDD, you need to split your file. Sucks right? It’s because that PS3 only recognizes FAT32 format and the problem is you can’t transfer any file larger than 4GB into a FAT32 formatted HDD.

Unless that you have your PS3 connected into your network, you need not split it, you can just stream directly or just copy from your network.

As for me, my PS3 is not connected into my home network, my house runs wireless and it’s not capable for HD streaming. My method of watching MKV video without splitting is by burning the converted video into a dual layer 8.5GB DVD+/-R.

PSP Go has been release for a few weeks here in Malaysia already, selling for RM1099. I would say the price is expensive and I might go for parallel import if it’s cheaper because my first generation’s PSP is a Japanese parallel import unit, which means, not official from local Sony Malaysia. I still can’t find any demo unit in-store in Penang yet, the one I’ve tried was in Singapore few weeks back. My first impression on this little gaming machine when it’s first announced was, sucks, smaller screen, weird button placement. However, thought changed after getting my hands on the demo unit in one of the Sony’s store in Singapore. It felts incredibly light, the button were comfortable with my tiny hands and the screen was not really smaller. It’s just like shorter but it’s still a very big screen when having it on hands, near to you. I already have a first generation PSP, but I do want to have this new one in my bag, it’s cool, mine is like so old. What do you think about the PSP Go?

I was window shopping at Prangin Mall last weekend and I walked past the gameshop (Ace Electrical and Electronics) which I used to visit quite often but not now because I am not really into gaming right now. Just a little glanced around what’s going on in the shop and at the new console, I saw a piece of paper writing “Blu-Ray Disc For Rental”. I didn’t go in to ask about detail because I have no intention of renting a Blu-ray movie right now but perhaps in the future I would. That’s a good start for Blu-ray renting business here in Penang and hopefully more and more people will go for Blu-ray so in such, more rental shop will be up in town. I don’t have a Play Station 3, but my brother does and he only owns a Blu-ray title and that is the Spiderman 3 (bought second hand for around RM70/19USD) . Reason of not buying anymore because the price of a single Blu-ray title is freaking expensive. Do you have or watch Blu-rays?
