It’s Apple WWDC10 right now, happening at San Fransisco, lots of Apple update for the fans out there. I woke up today morning and prompted a system update on my Mac. After the update, I found out that my Safari has upgraded to latest version 5.

Apple is so much supporting the HTML5 platform right now and it’s one of the new feature in Safari 5. Another feature that worth to check it out is the Safari Reader, it allows you to read online articles in a continuous, clutter-free view.
My 2 cents: Frankly, I seldom use Safari browser on my Mac. I only use Safari on the iPhone, I still prefer other browser like the Firefox because there’s more add-on which enhance my surfing experience. Do you use Safari?

For all the time when Apple reintroduce the white plastic MacBook, I never put that in mind, I wouldn’t introduce friends to get a MacBook. But now with their latest revision, they’ve upgraded the processor and the GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) and promises a 10-hour battery life, it’s a good buy obviously for only US$999 (US$950 after education store discount).

It’s not very expensive and what I love the most is still the 10-hour battery. I am using a 2008 White MacBook and the battery life I got is like 4 hours only. It’s already better than my netbook and if it could be longer, it will be so damn awesome for me! Though, my next buy will of course go to the pro. =)

I love Google Maps both on my PC and the mobile! I plan my trips with it and when I get lost on the road, it helps me a lot. Although it lack voice navigation on my Nokia N95 8GB, the “get direction” do helps too.

I also use it to favourite an eating place when I visit, then later use as reference for my food blog. With the latest version 3.3.1, I can sync my favourited/starred location to my Google Maps account online.

Previously, I can’t do that. Frankly, I kinda out-date because I only update my Google Maps now, but I believe some still stuck with old Google Maps on their phone, so faster update yours now!
By the way, if you are using Android, you get extra navigation feature and don’t forget, this is data-based, so you need a data plan for it. =)
Download Google Maps Mobile.

I used to update my Twitter status on the go with Mobile Web Twitter, it’s a lot cheaper than sending an international text message to the USA to update your tweet. However, I have stopped using the mobile Twitter for quite some times already after I’ve found out about Malaysia Twitter SMS Gateway.
It’s not official from Twitter but created by some local avid Twitterer. There’s actually two of them and you can save your cost by just sending a text message to a local phone number.

S2Twit.com is the first Malaysia Twitter SMS Gateway and it’s up for quite some times already. There’s no integration with Twitter, you need send a text message to register your phone number with your username and password, then you can tweet with your phone’s text messaging system. It was a 018# number and they have updated to a new 016# number 2 months ago, which I believe it’s a Digi number.
So, it’s saving a lot of your money by sending text messages. If you are a DiGi Super SMS user, you can send unlimited tweets like me.

Just recently, I found out a new service called gladlyCast. It was from Singapore and they have just added a number for Malaysia user. It’s has nice graphic and easy registering on it’s site. It works with the Twitter Integration so it isn’t like registering your username and password into the database like S2Twit.com.
If you are asking me which is better, I got no comment on this, because the two do same thing. Depends on which telco you are using, if you uses Maxis then you go for gladlyCast, if you are on DiGi, then go for S2Twit.com.

Looking at the above Tweets, you can notice the difference about the Tweet where it was sending from.
This means that gladlyCast is more developed than S2Twit.com. Anyway, I am using both of the service because I owns two different number of different telco, I use S2Twit.com more because it’s 016 and the SMS rate is cheaper. =)

Successfully updated my Wordpress to 2.7.

(The biggest difference is the new blogging interface, it’s totally new.)
I have onced update via Fantastico, 4 blogs went smoothly, 2 blogs went down with nothing on the site. I had to Google Cache everything, copy and paste to recover my blogs.
Then I tried updating by uploading new file too, it’s more safe than via Fantastico.
The easiest way is to update via Wordpress Automatic Upgrade Plugin that I am using for all my blogs now. Easy, fast, safe and backup your database.
