Apple has finally killed its iPad 2 which had been in store alongside with the latest iPad for quite some times. It served as an alternative of cheaper 8.9″ tablet to the flagship iPad which provides more opportunity to mass market. Taking the 2nd gen iPad’s place is the newer 4th generation iPad with Retina Display which retains the same entry level price of RM1,199 for 16GB Wifi and RM1,599 for 16GB Wifi + Cellular model.
This is quite interesting as the 4th Gen iPad is so much better than the 2nd gen in term of specs and display. Those who are buying the first gen iPad mini would probably be better topping up extra RM250 for a better Retina Display and faster A6X CPU. Good news for education, or business sector who are buying iPad in mass.
