Giffgaff will be updating its network to support 4G LTE soon, and expected it to be ready in April 2014. I’ve been a fans of Giffgaff ever since I’ve moved to UK since Sep 2013 and finally the wait is over. 4G LTE is not new in the UK as EE had it years back, and O2, Three and T-Mobile joined the LTE network too. Despite Giffgaff running as a mobile virtual network operator that runs on the O2 (LTE-ready) network, LTE was not available till today.
They have release a new pricing for Giffgaff LTE’s goodybags plans which remove unlimited data plan. Currently £12 Goodybag will gives unlimited data to user, with the new 4G LTE, £12 will applies a 2GB data quota restriction. Although I am using less than 2GB/month and I am on the £12 unlimited data plan, I still find that setting a quota on data is a restriction. What do you think?
