I Am Officially iPhone-ed With iPhone 5S – I have been through many Android device, from the Google Nexus One to Samsung Galaxy S2, then Samsung Galaxy Note 2, I can be said quite an Android fans. But from today onwards, my primary device is now the Apple iPhone 5S. It’s not that I dislike Android, nor anti the system, it’s just that I find iOS a cleaner system, simpler, and the best of all a standardise software update. The official Google Nexus gets the latest update at the fastest time, where my Samsung is still stuck on 4.1.3. It takes like forever for Samsung to develop a new update. (The only phone from Android worth getting is the Nexus)
Despite the iPhone having a lower hardware specification when compare to some latest Android phone, you just hardly notice the difference in term of speed and multi-tasking ability. The app on the iOS just somehow turn the 8-mp camera to an incredible one.
On my first day of using the iPhone 5S, it surely felt uncomfortable on the palm because I’ve been using Galaxy Note 2, a gigantic phablet for some times. It felt like my hand grows larger, and typing on it take times to get used to. However, the transition of Android to iOS is not bad after all. Battery life, would not be as good as Galaxy Note 2, but acceptable with the phone charging very fast through the Lighting cable.
Well, although it’s more expensive in the UK, 2 weeks of usage has left no regret. I am enjoying the iPhone, everything has been fine and great, especially loving the clean and beautiful app (I am an designer, visual is very important to me). I do not anti Android, but I am keen to see what they have in the future. Cheers.
