Win a Samsung Galaxy S4 by staring at it for an hour and you can just walk away with a brand new one! This sounds too good to be true, but how many people can actually look at a thing for an hour without looking away with all the distraction around? That’s one of the marketing campaign in Switzerland where Swisscom, the local telco set up a booth at the center of a railway station in Zurich with the latest Samsung Galaxy S4 in it, together with a percentage meter which tells you how long have you stare.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 actually has the feature that can sense your eye when you are looking at it so that the screen will be on the time and this feature is used to market the product there in Switzerland. Many people who was curious and went to try on but most of them could not reached 60 minutes because Swisscom threw some distractions around with dog barkings, singers, arguing couples, burning hot dog vendors and motorcycle crashes.
It indeed created a lot of attention and I find it a very good way of marketing. Well, in the video, the guy walked a way with a new Samsung Galaxy S4, normal people like us, or actor? Haha, that’s not really a main thing though. I would like to give it a try if there’s something like this here in Malaysia!
